Healthcare in America

How would you like to see healthcare in America change over the next ten years?  Do you think this is realistic?  Why or why not?

over the next few years i would love to see everyone have healthcare. it is only fair, we should have the exact plan as the germans do that seems fair and would work with us. however, i dont think anything will change in america though sadly, healthcare isnt a priority of america's.

I would like to see the healthcare system actually gravitate towards more of a socialist-based system, although I don't believe its a realistic hope. If anything, our capitalist population will reject anything new and different that go against their ideals. People reject radical change. And in places like the Bay Area its easy to forget that the rest of the nation is not quite as open to change as we are.

I would like it to be cheaper, more affordable. This can be realistic because the presidents may think our healthcare system is not good enough and change the healthcare system.

If Obama gets elected i believe that our health care system will change. I dont know how it will but hopefully Obama see's the struggle with insurance. If we are lucky maybe we will change our health care system to one of Japans,England,Germany,Switzerland and Taiwan's health care system,But in reality i dont believe we will have a major change in health care because many americans will not like the idea of being ran by the government.

I would like to see health care change sooner than ten years from now. However any change that actually happens will be in gradual steps and would be far less drastic then is ideal. Realistically, politicians are realizing that it is an issue for many Americans, otherwise it probably wouldn't be a campaign issue in the upcoming election. So hopefully it will become a bigger issue and something will change for the better.

I would like to see more people be able to afford health care because my family happens to be one of those who can only afford a physical once a year. I don't really think that any of the systems in the other countries would work because it would be to much for our whole nation to adapt to the system. Our country for sure doesn't want to pay higher taxes or watch our hospitals fall into financial problems getting the medicine everyone needs. If the president doesn't find a system that fits the american life style.

i would like to see healthcare in America change to be more efficient and that everyone would have healcare over the next ten years. making the healcare is realistic, because the reason not all people have healthcare is because of the expensive price.

jaimeortigoza said...

i would want it to be way better than it is right now. more cheaper for the people that cant afford it and the government should help them out. im not sure if it could happen because this country is all about making money and i would doute that this country will make health insurance less cheap.

How I would like to se health care change in America is much more better for everybody. I like Japans system were the doctors get paid by a fixed price cheap for the people. I agree with Obomba's idea of having manditory health care even though its just for children.

in the next 10 years i'd like to see the American Healthcare System execute some of other nation's policies. I'd like to see them build a new foundation for their healthcare, sort of like Taiwan. No system is perfect but our system needs some major improvements. Higher taxes would help by providing every American with free healthcare. And set prices on pharmacudical drugs so patients don't overpay. These could be realistic but Americans are afraid of change. They would be mortified if they had to pay more taxes and the drug coorporations would be mad. If the entire office of the United States Government changes perhaps people will have a different mind set on things but we'll just have to see in 09.

yes. personally, i think having the same or simmilar heath care system as the foriegn countries we viewed (japan, switzerland, etc) would greatly benefit those who are stuggleing to provide health care for themeseves or their family. however, doctors arnt very rich because costs there are so low and because of that, most americans would not like that. americans are known to be greedy due to actions of their past and current, but to be called a doctor is not an honnor because you are one standing between heaven and hell for your patent but because you get loads of money and people acknowlege that. with mainly absolutly no bankrupcy due to health care, i say if it worked for them, it should work for us. government is also a stubbern problem, the smart card system i think is a good idea, etc.

of course it realistic. i know know a whole lot about america's health care and what theyre thinking compared to foriegn countries. but its happened, in fact, its happening. it can surly work for us if it works for them. thats all not nessicarily true, but for the most part i think it can work.

i would like to see a universal healthcare system thats based on germany's or switzerland's systems. Our current system simply does not work and we must find a way to provide better coverage for cheaper. I would like to see us go in some sort of direction in the near future, but i think that there will be a huge amount of opposition to change.

Daniel Martinez said...

I would like to see not only the price of health care lower, but I would also like to see everyone covered. However I don not think that this is realistic because health care just doesnt seem like the country's biggest concern for some reason.

In ten years i would like to see the healthcare in the U.S. to change i am sure that everyone would like to see that change. I think that if we changed our healthcare that more people would live longer and there wouldn't be as much death. which would be very good less death in America today.

debroar said...

I think America should take all the positive parts of health care from other countries just like Taiwan has, because that would put us in a better place than we're at now. Hopefully in ten years America has Universal Healthcare. I don't think its realistic though because we live in a money-hungry nation.

I would like to see healthcare take a dramatic turn around. Medical help shouldn't be the cause of bankruptcy. All Americans should be covered as well. But I have a feeling that this kind of change will take a lot of time to come into action. There has to be a way that healthcare can become more affordable. Other countries have found unique yet similar ways to make it work. Why can't we?

Derrick Virassammy said...

I think everyone should have healthcare and I think the price needs to get lower for medical treatment. The service could also be alot better. No health insurance company should not accept someone because they are going to have to pay. The companies are just trying to make money and thinking about themselves. They need to help the people.

I think that the US healthcare system should be available to all. We should have a plan like germany's that way it will be fair.
I think we should make it more affordable.

In the next 10 years i would love to see our health care system change, I think its a serious matter that our country obviously doesnt see as being very important..Realisticly, i doubt it will change. I think the best solution would be to build a new foundation somewhat like Taiwan. Drugs should have a set price that is decided by the government and the doctors so that patients dont overpay. I think our biggest problem is that America is afraid of change.

i would like to see change in the health system before ten years. i believe that if our health care system was to change like that of japan less people would die, and many would be able to live stable lives not having to worry about medical bills leading to bankruptsy.

Norbu said...

In the near future i would like to see a healthcare that is optional, is not too cheap but cheap enough so that everyone can afford it. If someone could not afford it then i think there should be some sort of plan offered by the gov. to help those who need it. Im not actually sure if it will ever happen or if we, the people of the U.S., will approve of such ideas but it will be something most people look forward to.

over the next ten years i would like to see universal coverage and cheaper prices. I think we should try and change to something similar to the japanese healthcare system. I think it can happen, it is realistic, but i don't think it will be that easy, and there will be side-effects and consequences if it happens.

Over the years i would like to see the health care that provides to all. They can help the poor people in need and the goverenment pays for it and does get involved. I also like the idea of the medical card with all the information for the doctors. This will keep all the doctors well informed. I think it is realistic because it just makes everything better. The bad thing is i dont know if America is really going to go for it because it is a country all about money.

Over the next ten years, I would like to see healthcare improved in that universal healthcare is implemented as well as government regulated competition among hospitals, insurance companies, and pharmaceutical companies to keep prices low, but still make money. I also would like to see the implementation of smart cards that would store the medical info of each patient, but can not get de-magnetized. However, as many ideas as to how to reform the healthcare system and make it better and more widespread as I have, I don't think that healthcare will get reformed because healthcare isn't as big of a priority as defense or justice.

In the next ten years I would like to see that everyone has at least basic health insurance. I think this could be a realistic goal if we raised taxes just like England's healthcare system

In the next ten years i would love to see everyone in America have health care. I like Obamas plan that every kid has health care, even though adults don't. It's not eeryone but it's a start. I honestly dont know if it's going to change because people don't do good with change. But hopefully one day everyone will have good health care.

In the next ten years, i would like to see health care change in america because it is a very big deal to everyone. I feel that we are affraid to make a change in our society, even though it would help thousands of people. If everyone had health insurence and can afford it, they would get the attention that they need for their health.

Carla said...

Over the next ten years, I hope everyone in America will have Healthcare no matter if you can afford it or not. I hope poeple no longer go bankrupt because their insurance wont pay for what they need in order to stay alive. Unfortunately, I doubt that it will be in 10 years when we see this happen. This is because the United States is all about making money and i doubt that they would like the idea of everyone having healthcare because that would mean that they would be losing money. We can only hope that in 10 years

Marlene Ng said...

I would hope that America's health care system would become more universal but I think that it will be hard for some people to accept that idea. I think that it would be hard becuase universal health care would mean that people would be equal and some people might think that is too much of a communist idea, and beacuase of that I believe that some people would not accept that idea.

kumari chadha said...

i think it would be great for this counrty to have a higher medical insurence rate but for that to happen we need to make some changes.
it seems kind of unfair cause for every one to have insurence it needs to be aid for some how. so for someone who does not have the money to pay that means thats omeone else is paying and that does not seem fair.
the issue is that if you got a good education you would have a good job and be able to pay your own way. so for the rates to go up people need to stay in school and stop dropping out. so the a soulutiojn to the problem is to keep people in school.

I'd love to see EVERYBODY with a healthcare. I think the US shound imitate Taiwan because I think is a good idea to collect good ideas to make something better. Although I don't think the US will do that because US is known as being "neutral" therefore the US doesn't follow the crews so I think this country will find another way to fix the PROBLEMS it's people have with healthcare.

If in the next few years if healthcare changed then that would be amazing but honestly i think that won't happend, because the way things are going in today's society with all the wars and things i don't think they can afford it

In the next 10 years it would be nice to see if not everyone, most of Americans with some health care. If not all adults at least all children for a start like Obama wants/plans. Hopfully they can make it affordable for future generations also. But the concern is that taxes will be raised and if there is a standard price that could make some people upset.
As for all of this change being realistic in my lifetime? Probably not. I would like to know when such drastic change did occur in one presidents term. What about George W Bush and all the things he wanted to do and where we got. Its possible that this might just all happen but my hopes arent up.

Maybe in the next few years our country wont be run by pharmisudical companies and run by our government. We have control in what goes in and out, not a group of greedy people that control what goes in and out. We will have a health care that doesnt take much money at all, and the government still gets a profit.

I think that the health care in the US is really bad because it cost to much money and most of the people can't afort to get it and many people dont have it.i wish that later on in the future that i hope it would change, and that every one could have it

with in the next decade I hope to see some form of a universal health care established in america. I am very curious to see if the next president carries all the promises that he is saying during his time in office. I also wish that they would have some kind of universal insurance on property damage exspecialy since we have a 99% chance of a earthquake with in the next 30 years. If we do have an earthquake with in the next few years there will be so many people left without houses.

Nikkg said...

I think that if we have universal health the hospital patient rate will be lowered. There a lot of people that need care that don't have it and they still ill or are in and out od the hospital. Universal health care is very important and we all need health care.

think it would be a great idea that everyone shouIld have health insurance rich or poor. Alot of the other places have a good and bad refections on insurance. Its kind of hard to choose what would be the best. I thik that we should try to do like the Japanese.

In the next ten years i would like to see the US do some of the things the other countries did. i would like the prices to get lowerd and for the Government to help the people who cannot afford it. Also that the Us at least help pregnant women because they need money to support their children lives.

Over this few years i would like to see healthcare change its system, because up to now is not workin. It is not benefitting the patients, only the companies who make profit. is not right for people to go bankrupt because of heath problems. This is the most powerful country buy yet is not capable to provide its citizens with healthcare. This is a real shame, because the government should be responsable for its citizens. We should learn from other countries about their healthcare system and try to chage our nd make it better. Is going to be a difficult thing to change but something has to solve this big problem.San Francisco already started now is time for the rest of the nation to follow.

I would like to see the health care in the U.S. change in the next 10 years. I would like to see everyone having health care because not only does it help each person individually, it helps everyone from spreading diseases. I think that is is possible and realistic even though it will be very hard. I know for a fact it isn't impossible because there are countries all around the world that gives health care to everybody in the country.

ms.supremesoul said...

It's possible to improve the health care system in the next ten years or even shorter. It depends on the collective decision which rest mainly on our legislative bodies. If we're able to spend money on a useless war, why can't it be possible to change our priorities in our worsening the health care system? It's not going to be easy but it's very possible!
