We aint no business people
We just plain working floks
Son-how come you talk so much 'bout money?
Because its life.
Once upon a time freedom use to be life-now its money.
You my children-but how different we done become.

You tired, ain't you? Tired of everything.
But you wouldn't do nothing to help, would you?
Baby, don't nothing happen for you in this world 'less you pay somebody off.
I got me a dream.
I got to take hold of this here world, baby!
I got to change my life, i'm chocking to death, baby!
I want so many things that they are driving me kind of crazy.
I don't know if I can make you understand.
Once upon a time freedom used to be life- now its money.

did you plan it Ruth?
aint nothing can tear at you like loosing your baby
nobody in this house is ever gonna understand me
why you always gotta be picking on your brother?
what are you going to do with it?
i got to go in, we need the money
No it was always money, mama
Ten Thousand Dollars

Stretch Forth Her Hand Again

Little country that was founded by slaves...
Oh, Mama...
Help save people
To become queen of the Nile...
In front of the mirror as she thinks....
Once upon a time...
Freedom was life..
No...
So now it is money
Oh, Mama
I guess the world really do change...

BAM! BAM! BAM!
oh, my God-that must be Asagai.
come on now honey. you need to lie down and rest while...

For you-I would do much more ... well that is what I came for.
You never understood that there is more than one kind of feeling which can exist between a man and a woman-or, at least, there should be.

Ain't nothing the matter with me!

Do you know what this money means to me?
Son-how come you talk so much 'bout money?
I'm want so many things that they are driving me kind of crazy... mama look at me.
I open and close cars doors all day long. I pass them cool,quiet-looking restaurants where them white boys are sitting back and talking 'bout things
Mama-look. Old Willy Harris put everything on paper
ten thousand dollars. Gaylee, Grand mama, you rich
Mama you don't understand, you just don't understand
Sometimes its like i can see the future stretched out in front of me

Are we the same?
Do you look at me like you look at yourself?
What do I have to do to make you think of me as the same as you?
Nothing! Nothing at all!
We are not the same and never will be!
