I saw a whole bunch of different instruments and it was chill to get away from the writing and go listen to music. I was surprised with how good Reggie was because i have never seen him play.
THE JAZZ CONCERT TODAY WAS CHILL I HAD FUN SITTING DOWN AND RELAXING WHILE WATCHING THE PERFORMERS PERFRORM.REGGIE HAD DONE A GREAT JOB AT HIS SEMI VOLUNTEER PERFERMANCE. ALTHOUGH I'VE HEARD REGGIE PLAYED MANY TIME BEFORE I'AM STILL AMAZED OF THE WAY HE PLAYS. I CANNOT KEEP UP WITH NAMES BUT I AM ALSO AMAZED WITH THEOTHER PIANO PLAYER, THE DRUM PLAYER ETC.....THE JAZZ MUSIC ITSELF WAS ALSO GREAT.
The jazz concert was a very entertaining experiance. They played a lot of upbeat music, which was to my liking. What I liked the most was that all the little musicians gave a little solo at the end. It was a very good ending to the already good concert. It surprised me that so many little kids were so talented.
i think it was a great performance!!!!! it was very entertaining. those kids are very talented and they should keep the good work! i like jazz when is fast, but this kids played a slow one and it was also good! hope to hear more from them!
I thought that the performance was very good. They younger children showed a lot of talent when they went up solo. The sax players were also sounded really nice.
I thought that they played really well. Throughout the whole performance, I was thinking, "Wow, I wish i couldve have learned how to play an instument when I was younger." It was also cool to hear reggie play, this wasnt my first time hearing him play, I have heard him a couple of times before that. I thought his participation was a great way to end the whole performance. I thought that the little kids were also good too.
I thought the expierence was interesting since i dont listen to jazz to much going to a concert was a new expierence. I heard really good jazz. I saw people playing their hearts out and they were really dedicated to their music. I thought of swing dancers and cocktails. I was suprised at how well it was played and the music was really soothing.
The concert today was exciting. I have heard the AMS band play before, but this time was very good. All of the songs sounded a lot like the recordings that they recorded back in the day! When he called me up, I wasnt really supprised because it happens a lot, but being a musician you must be prepared at all time, and just play because you love the music, not because you have to :D
The concert was alright... I liked the concert as I don't often listen to Jazz. Too me not enough emotion was put into the middle schoolers music. I know they were good, but i just didn't really see any of the middle schoolers put any emotion into their playing from my perspective. The middle schoolers were talented at their music also
I got in trouble for kissing Serentalla. Other than that I Couldn't relate to it at all. It was ok for being my time at a Jazz concert. Even though i was distracted I was able to hear the sounds of the instruments. I was surprised that kids as young as that were very good at playing those kind of instuments.
okay i thought of my grandpa playing the trombone in his band. i thought of people dancing in a club smoking cigarettes and drinking. it was really relaxing it felt good to listen to them play.
I had a good concert viewing experience. I enjoyed listening to jazz, and watching the skilled musicians perform the pieces. i was very impressed by the whole performance. i liked how they started each song by snapping thier fingers to get the rhythm down. The rhythm was sweet. Reggie's piano skills go!
Smooth music flow. That is how i describe the sounds from the jazz concert.all the instruments complimented each other well, which made the music flow through everybodies ears. It wasn't noise ,it was relaxing and soothing to the brain after a long time in class. the music was like a step back in time. It had history in it and showed us how music was represented back in the day . it was a good concert.
Galleeee!! Boy that was a pretty cool preformance. I liked how they played some of the songs off the top of their heads and sounded really really good. Like my brother reggie, got up there and played b flat blues. It was also pretty cool to see Mr.Bryant and the adults play along with the students. I felt like I was in Harlem for some of the songs. Brings it back to tha old days.. :P
I really liked the concert and i really liked how they werent attatched to the sheet music. escpecially at the end. when i was listening to the music, it really reminded me of like back in the old days when the people would go to the clubs and swing dance and all that....also those kids were really very talented...and so was reggie. wow he has louie armstrong talent. any way yea. that music reminded me of my grandmother. not in a bad way though.
i really like how the jazz players knew what they were playing. the music was very relaxing and smooth. i was impressed on how all the jazz player's solos fit in the piece.
i thought of watching a beatiful spring sunset. sitting on indian rock watching the sky slowly turn deep black. the music flowing through my ears as if there is not a problem in the world. It was like a there wasnt a problem in the world.
I was surprissed to see the young kids able to get up there and play infront of us. I learnded that jazz is a very esay going type of music
I heard the wonderful sound of the trumpet echoing through the whole room, bouncing off and back softly hitting my ear drums. I heard the most beautiful thing I've heard. I heard the saxophone moaning out its cry of joy and excitment. Its wonderful noise spread through the room. It sounded like the kind of music that the angels play in heaven.
I saw them feeling the music. Like if they felt it going through there boby and soul. As did I.
I thought of the jazz players in Harlem. I was thinking how they must of been greatly appreciated for such beautiful music that they have created.
I felt the beats in my heart. It felt relaxing and soothing. I felt like i didnt have a worry in the world.
In my head i pictured the clubs back then where people didnt go to the clubs for drinks or to get lucky. They went to dance and have a great time. And Now after that performance i can see why.
This was a great opportunity for was to listen to the music that grew from the Harlem Renaissence. All the instruments created a smooth sound together. i enjoyed it very much. it surprised me that Reggie could play so well. we got to hear the sounds of Harlem in the 1920s. serentalla
